Sorry this blog update is a bit later than I had planned but the last few days have been quite hectic and I have spent most of the time on the phone and writing emails. Earlier this week we were told that our daughter would receive a less comprehensive therapy package than others in her class because of where we live!

At last we seem to have made some progress with our daughter's schooling as the Local Education Authority and health authorities at last seem to be communicating with each other.  A novel concept, I know!  We're waiting for letters of confirmation but hopefully she will be able to start her placement this September with full therapy provision. Watch this space!

On a different note, we were pleased to see that East Enders has an upcoming storyline featuring the birth of a Down's Syndrome baby. Considering how many special needs children there are in the world it seems that they have rarely appeared in primetime programmes.  I look forward to seeing how the BBC handle it.

By the way, the "garden gnome" outfit was a big hit for the 5 minutes my son wore it before he got too hot!  His team were a proud 5th out of 6!
