Last night, something very special happened. I was in the kitchen, chatting to my husband who had just returned from the Netherlands on a business trip. My son was in the conservatory lining up toy cars, when he made a "brumm" noise. For the first time ever, a real engine noise whilst pushing a car! This may sound like a really trivial occurance to some, but many of you I am sure will appreciate the significance and emotion ensuing from this simple act.

I am also happy to hear that the Every Disabled Child Matters campaign has made positive steps forward, with the government publishing the "Aiming High for Disabled Children: Better Support for Families" report.
